Support Summon Setup

Setting up your support summons is an important task both for yourself and your friends.

Why?

One of the main questions that people have when it comes to these support setups are why even follow them?

First is from the side of your friends. Many people prefer seeing consistent setups from their supports. Being able to know where to look and where to click for a summon is incredibly convient. If you know where to click for the summon you want, you can mindlessly farm with greater ease. Likewise, if a summon is out of order, it leads to a high likelihood someone selects it accidently when farming throwing off the entire setup.

As a result of that, players with stronger summons typically will not friend you if your support summons are not set up in a way they want. They will either not accept a friend request or unfriend you. As a result, if you ignore the generally agreed upon summon order, you will severly limit your own access to strong support summons.

Setup

Now to cover the actual support setups. Below is the most common setup for Omega players.

And for Optimus Summons.

FireWaterEarthWindLightDarkMisc

Feel free to mix Omega and Optimus depending on what is available.

Huanglong will always be in Misc slot 2. The big reason for this is if you are using Huanglong, it will usually be for zero or low button press scenariors. For these, you will want to move your hand less to reduce hand strain. Slot 2 is closer to the OK button so it is the ideal spot for it. Qilin is fine as a farther slot as any setup that uses Qilin will likely require a lot of hand movement already and will be slower per run.

Another common thing to see is Gorilla in Earth Slot 2. Usually you see it 50/50 being there or not.

Its also common to see an Optimus summon in Slot 1 and an Omega summon being in Slot 2. Generally, this is less ideal for Omega players but is better than nothing for players that might want one of your Optimus summons but still need the Omega in other elements.

And the last big thing will get its own section.

Kaguya

When it comes to Kaguya, there are two main debates of which position it should go in.

Above, I have shown it in the Water 2 slot. This is the most popular and widespread configuration overall.

The other main location is in Wind 2. This is the standard among top JP players. Depending on who you have as friends and who want as friends will determine which slot you should put it in.

Unite And Fight Setups

During Unite and Fight, people will shift their summon setups to put useful summons for that element in every slot. For example during Light UnF, people put Thor in the Water 1 slot. This will very wildly from UnF to UnF.

The most common setup choice for UnF is known as the Masa List. This is the setup made by player named Masa. Top end players will generally follow whatever he sets even outside GW. To go back, Kaguya in Wind 2 is a choice he made which is why people follow it.

Following the Masa list for UnF make it easier to find strong players with the summons you will need to use. His GW support setup will typically be posted right before GW. So check it his Twitter a day or two before and it will probably be up.
