General Strategy

Siegfried is a fight in which delays are important. It’s full diamond special Qual Faenge deals a ton of damage as well as extending skill cooldowns and cutting buff durations of anyone damaged by this. It will be triggered at 75% and 25% HP. It is very important to prevent taking damage from this by saving full cuts and damage mitigation skills for this or using a sub character that will likely die on getting hit. With enough delays, it is likely you won’t trigger this outside of the guarenteed casts. However, Siegfried does get an additional diamond each turn when an ally doesn’t attack so try to not guard your whole team at once.

Qual Faenge also occurs two other times. On joining the fight and at 50%, it occurs after casting Delirium which prevents Sieg from being debuffed that turn, resets summon cooldowns, knocks out all non Wind allies, and fills his charge diamonds to max causing him to use Qual Faenge after. For joining, the easiest option is to use an on element character with a sub like Rosetta (Grand) to deal with it or a character with 100% hostility like Andira as Qual Faenge is multi hit. For 50%, you should make whatever summon call you can like a carbuncle before taking Delirium.

Turn 2 and every 4 turns after casts. Manigance which gives Sieg attack up, boosted TA, and echoes. This special requires 3 healing skills to cancel. Generally people will ignore this cancel but in doing so Sieg will hit like a truck that turn and every turn he still has the buffs so remove them ASAP.

Turn 4 and every 4 turns after casts Uwe which gives Sieg water switch, water cut, and debuff resistance. This cancel needs three debuffs to cancel and is strongly recommended to do so when possible due to the major damage loss of the switch and cut. Bounty Hunter Raise a foe’s Bounty lvl by 1. is a great skill for this thanks to having a 3 turn cooldown.

Siegfried additionally has two sets of stacks. Black Dragon Talon stacks add 1k supp per stack to Sieg’s main damage instance. Black Dragon Scale stacks cap damage at 3m at 1 stack lowering by an additional 300k per stack. These raise when omens go off or when an ally doesn’t attack. They lower and raise on omen cancel and lower by 5 each when Qual Faenge go off. Generally for most fights, they are ignorable but they can stack up on a slower run. There is also a wipe if both stacks reach 10 that is only a concern for solos.

Drops

These are the most notable drops from this raid. Any unlisted weapons are safe to fodder.

Dragonslayer’s Edge
  • Mat for uncapping Revan weapons and awakenings.
Copies:
1-2 ATK, 1-2 SPC
Source:
SIEGFRIED
Raserei Faenge
Massive earth DMG to a foe (All allies gain 15% Cut until end of turn.)
Additional effect at 4★:
Buff effect increased to 35% Cut.
Lifetree’s Insignia III
Big boost to earth allies’ ATK / Take 5% damageBased on max HP. every turn.
Earth’s Majesty
Small boost to earth allies’ ATK and max HP
  • Mix of attack mods with awakenings makes it one of the raw damage slots available for Earth.
  • Best to start with 1 ATK and 1 SPC.
    • 2 SPC is good for burst setups for the cap up.
    • 2 ATK sees use in Nekomancer setups.
Copies:
1 ATK, 0-3 ATK
Source:
SIEGFRIED
Qual Faenge
Massive earth DMG to a foe / Big boost to earth allies’ DEF
Additional effect at 4★:
Amber Enforcement
Boost to Earth allies’ ATK and DEF (Activates when either Earth Omega or Earth Optimus weapon skills have a boost of 280% or above)
Striking Art: Earth
Boost to Earth allies’ skill DMG cap and normal attack DMG cap
  • Good source for normal and skill cap.
  • Limited useful due to Fangs having more mod and World weapons providing more cap and amp.
  • Partiocularly useful for the DEF awakening being a solid HP source without the need to worry about DoT like with the Fangs.
Eternity Sand
  • Extremely rare item used for New World Foundation weapon ULBs and summon transcendence

Blue Chest

Blue chests are awarded based on the amount of honors achieved in a raid maxing out at 99% chance at a raid specific amount of honors: 4m in the case of Revan raids. They typically contain the most desirable drops in a raid such as the weapon drops. When farming a raid, this is the chest you want to aim for. The typical strategy is to deal the blue chest amount and then moving onto the next raid. Below is a list of strategies on how to effectively and quickly achieve blue chests.

Paladin

Paladin is the standard class for dealing with this raid in order to deal with the high damage from both Siegfried’s normal attacks as well as Qual Faenge. This is typically paired with characters with delays to prevent Qual Faenge from going off as well as dispels for stripping the harsh buffs Sieg can get.

Manadiver

Manadiver’s high amounts of skill damage make it great for sustained damage in a fight like this. For this setup to work, Aliza (Summer) is required both for her high amounts of counter damage per turn but also to tank Qual Faenge when it comes up.

      • You still have the wrong one in the notes for Paladin (Standard), btw. It might also be worth noting that G.Ewiyar can replace Niyon as well since requiring transcended Niyon might be offputting; I’ve used Esta/Enyo/Ewiyar.

  1. for the standard nekomancer guide that says premium magna, THERE’S NOTHING MAGNA ABOUT THE GRID HAHAHAHA

    • LMAO. Man I must have been tired when I copied that from that video. I don’t even understand why they had Tiamat main on that one. I added another setup with lower requirements and removed a few grands from the other

  2. It’s too son to see new comps with Magna 3? I was thinking to replace one Ewiyars beak with the new dagger.

    • My primary focus right now is with getting things ready for Light GW.

Depending on the setup, replacing them with daggers would work. Its a loss of supplmental damage but if whatever setup you use is mostly single hit skill damage users like the FA comp with Shion and Esta, the increased skill cap is of higher value anyways.

    • Hey I can tell you that 3 tia aura guns, 2 tia aura daggers, 1 galewing, 2 grimnir storm harps, and your d.opus is optimal. This leaves 1 slot open for either a MH, or if one of those fits in your class you can put in an extra galewing or something. In extra spots you can use the New World weapons… or if like me you don’t have those or the world harp, use a Baha Dagger, militis wind fist, and an ultima for seraphic. Celestial Harp is a decent slot if you have it and are missing something else. Spring Whisperings for more hp.

Siette swords are dead for magna.
