Transitioning

Before transition to an Optimus grid, it is important to make sure you have all the neccessary grid compontents beforehand. Once you have everything for what you want to do, then you can consider transitioning over.

  • With Extinction Blade Mk II, it becomes the strongest farmable mod slot available and sees staple usage in magna grids.

Example Grids

Burst

For Burst, you will want to lean heavily on Overriders slotting up to three if available. Between the mainhand, opus, ultima, the overriders, and Crimson Scales, you’ll find yourself with only two leftover slots. Generally with Alanaan FLB setups, this will be two Lord of Flames. If you don’t have his FLB, you’d lean towards stronger mod slots likr Ixaba.

And alternate mainhand would be Phoenix’s Torch. This is strong for longer bursts particurly in Alan setups where you press clarity.

If you don’t have three Overriders, replace the missing ones with Lord of Flames. If you do that, swap the Ultima to Axe to have four Axes in grid instead of 4 spears.

If you lack Super Faa access, run the Chain of Temptation on Opus instead.

Another burst setup that is common is Luchador. This is generally faster than Manadiver for burst setups particularly bar farming. Sky Piercer (Fire) is a stronger option for a mainhand if available.

Full Auto

For FA, Pheonix’s Torch is a much stronger MH thanks in part to the supportive skills it offers. But Exo Dagger works great too. Grid wise It is pretty similar except this time we can slot in Lord of Flames in the free spots. This is both due to the needed defense as well as more buffs being applied in FA making capping easier.

If you are missing either the LoF or Overriders, try slotting in Gateway-Star Sword or an Extinction Blade Mk II.

If you lack Super Faa access, run the Stamina key on Opus instead.

Hard Content

Once again for HL, this grid in particular being for Super Faa, it is a pretty similar configuration. Here we need more emphasis on survivability which is why it leans more towards Lord of Flames and Extinction Blade Mk IIs. In particular, it drops to one CS since the surviability is more important.

LoF and Overriders can be replaced with Gateway-Star Sword or Extinction Blade Mk IIs. You will want at least one Overrider for the echoes it provides.

The World Harp can be replaced by Heat of The Sun
