General Strategy
In a 6 man setting, Hexachromatic Hierarch requires one player of each element to clear.
100-40%
On joining Hexa, all allies not matching MC will be knocked out. Additionally it gains Unchallenged (40%) HP won’t lower below 40% (Can’t be removed) preventing it from going below 40%.
Hexa starts with one of three potential phases. These are Vermillion & Emerald, Azure & Gold, and White & Black. Each phase will last 20% of the total HP (100%-81%, 80%-61%, 60-41%) before swapping to another. The phases will be in a random order and all phases will occur. While each phase brings its own challenges, they mostly follow the same formula.
Each phase pits you against two dragons. At the start, the dragon’s will gain a Buffer, often called a Shield, that must be broken. They are Fervent Buffer Reduces non-water elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-water allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 water skill DMG or 20,000,000 water C.A. DMG) , Vortical Buffer Reduces non-fire elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-fire allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 fire skill DMG or 20,000,000 fire C.A. DMG) , Torrential Buffer Reduces non-earth elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-earth allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 earth skill DMG or 20,000,000 earth C.A. DMG) , Precipitous Buffer Reduces non-wind elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-wind allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 wind skill DMG or 20,000,000 wind C.A. DMG) , Reverent Buffer Reduces non-dark elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-dark allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 dark skill DMG or 20,000,000 dark C.A. DMG) , and Umbral Buffer Reduces non-light elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-light allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 light skill DMG or 20,000,000 light C.A. DMG) . It will reduce damage of non advantage elements of the shield element and increase debuff resistance against those elements. The shields are broken by dealing 20M CA or 20M skill damage, not combined, of the advantage element. So with a Fervent Buffer Reduces non-water elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-water allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 water skill DMG or 20,000,000 water C.A. DMG) , 20M water CA or 20M water skill damage must be dealt to break it. For most players, it is best to wait for the shields to be broken. Some may be able to push still without trouble, but don’t push too fast so that the shields can be taken down before the halfway point of the phase.
One of the main mechanics in the first half is Dragon Energy: Wilnas’s Dragon Energy ATK is boosted based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Vivid Fire / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Vermillion Claw, Emerald Beak / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) , Ewiyar’s Dragon Energy Hit count of attacks is boosted based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Exhaustive Collapse / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Vermillion Claw, Emerald Beak / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) , Wamdus’s Dragon Energy DMG taken is cut and reflected based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Fatal Attractor / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Azure Eddy, Gold Rockfall / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) , Galleon’s Dragon Energy DEF is boosted based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Universal Paroxysm / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Azure Eddy, Gold Rockfall / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) , Lu Woh’s Dragon Energy Has a chance to attack twice each turn based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Myribolt Refraction / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for White Flare, Black Hex / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) , and Fediel’s Dragon Energy Has a chance to apply various debuffs to allies upon normal attacks based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Necrotic Storm / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for White Flare, Black Hex / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) . Two of these will show up per phase depending on the dragon. They will start at 1 at phase start and one of the two will raise on every non omen turn. Additionally they raise on every failed omen. Similarly, canceling omens will lower them. Dragon energy will provide various boosts to the boss which is one good reason to keep them low. The other is that at the end of the phase, your current dragon energy will be coverted to Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) levels. While right now they don’t do much, they will make the last 40% of the raid harder. So it is best to keep it as low as possible. In worst case, try not go reach Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) .
The full diamond omen of each phase is Atrox Clamor. This omen is pretty straightforward as it requires 20m damage to cancel. Stronger setups will find it easy to just mash it. Weaker ones, especially during during the Wamdus/Galleon phase, will potentially need to use summon calls or skill presses to safely cancel. It is also ideal for weaker setups to hold CAs on non omen turns in order to build up and save a full chain for the omen. This ultimately depends on your own damage as well as the setup you use. You should always try to cancel this as it inflicts Skill Sealed Can’t use skills which will make cancelling additional omens harder until it is cleared. Canceling it will decrease one of the two dragon energy stacks by 1.
Each phase has its own omens it readies whenever you deal a total of either 50m CA or 50m skill damage. This running total will carry between phases. These 6 omens in totals have their own cancels that vary in difficulty depending on your comp. The two omens will be associated with a different dragon of that phase and correspending will raise or lower that dragon’s energy. If you fail to cancel them, it will raise the energy by 1. But if you do cancel, it lowers it by 3.
The halfway point of the phase are the 2m damage omens often called the Jinx omens. Each phase has one and they will always ready at the same as the same HP threshold. They are the highest priority to cancel and will be covered in the next section. If there is ever a situation where cancelling any of the prior mentioned omens before a Jinx omen would make cancelling the Jinx impossible, guard that turn and prioritize the Jinx.
90/70/50
The most important omens by far in the first 60% of the raid at the ones at 90%, 70%, and 50%. These are called the Jinx omens and each one, while can be failed, absolutely should not be failed and should be the highest priority to cancel. Make sure you cancel each one during each phase.
This is for two main reasons. One is that they apply Jinxes onto your team. They are Fire Jinx Fire has become an elemental weakness (Can’t be removed) , Wind Jinx Wind has become an elemental weakness (Can’t be removed) , WaterJinx Water has become an elemental weakness (Can’t be removed) , Earth Jinx Earth has become an elemental weakness (Can’t be removed) , Light Jinx Light has become an elemental weakness (Can’t be removed) , and Dark Jinx Dark has become an elemental weakness (Can’t be removed) . It will apply two Jinxes correspending to each dragon of the phase. It will make you weak to the element of the Jinx. So failing during the Galleon/Wamdus phase makes you weak to Earth and Water. If that wasn’t bad enough, the second reason is it drastically increases the difficulty of the last 40% by providing Hexa with some overpowering buffs. A single failed Jinx makes it significally harder and failing all three is an instant wipe.
Additionally, if you also don’t encounter the omen during the phase, it will be treated as a failure and you will recieve the Jinxes anyways.
Let’s go over some of the main ways in order to deal with the omen.
To cancel the Jinx omens, you need to deal 2m damage instances 9/12/15 times at 90%, 70%, and 50% respectively. The 2m damage instance means 2m with a single hit. A multi hit skill for example that deals 2m damage total does not count. CAs while they may show multiple hits in their animation will only count as one hit. Additional skill damage nukes on CA are counted as seperate hits.
First off, one of the big reasons for Yamato’s popularity in beginner setups is that its skill Take the Head
800% Elemental damage to a foe (Damage cap: ~730,000).
Reduce an Omen’s cancel requirements by 20% of the maximum value.
Raise Yashiori (Multiplier: Perpetuity) lvl by 1.
(Can only be used while a cancelable Omen is active.)
Level 30:
Omen cancel reduction increases to 30% of the maximum value.
reduces the hit count by 30% to to 6/8/10 hits making it significantly more manageable. If it can also be recast by any form of skill reset like Qilin, it will reduce it by another 30% making the 15 hit omen a lot more managable if needed.
CAs are one of the easier 2m damage sources with most grids, even not CA focused ones, able to reach it. A full chain will provide 4 hits with chainburst potentially adding a 5th. Any CA reactivations or 200 bar CAs can then increase the hit count further.
Summons can typically add another hit. Big damage summons like Optimus or Providence summons can easily hit 2m. Beelzebub deals a high base instance as well as plain damage that both go over 2m and will count as 2 hits. Triple Zero’s Sandalphon call can be one of the best summons for this. With enough cap up or the summon amp from Bahamut, each hit can deal over 2m damage for a total of 5 hits.
Skills are another way to hit 2m. Which skills can hit 2m will heavily vary on the skill cap in your grid and whether you have a Draconic Providence already. If you do plan to use skills to cancel, make sure to check it can reach 2m no problem. There are plenty of skills capable of hitting 2m without much additional help so they can help everyone. Many characters have skills that cast automatically either via CA or normal attacks that can hit 2m so those can be added on top of the already planned attacks.
The last major way to deal 2m hits is using assassin skills. As long as the asssassin deals 2m, it can easily be 3 2m instances from one TA. Additionally, for much stronger grids, an assassin can do more than that with bonus damage. For example, Excalibur is popular mainhand for Chrysaor setups. The CA of the weapon provides 50% bonus damage. So if the MC can deal 4m damage from an assassin, the echo also hits for 2m, resulting in 6 hits from a single TA.
You can also ignore the omen in general by using an instant omen cancelling skill. These include Seofon’s level 150 passive omen cancel from fated chains, Yamato’s Seasplitter
3-hit Elemental damage to a foe (4000% total / Damage cap: ~6,000,000 total (1st hit: ~1,500,000
2nd hit: ~2,000,000
3rd hit: ~2,500,000)).
Cancel all cancelable Omens.

, or the second call of Triple Zero
Vermillion & Emerald
The Vermillion & Emerald phase pits you against Wilnas and Ewiyar.
The phase starts with Fervent Buffer Reduces non-water elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-water allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 water skill DMG or 20,000,000 water C.A. DMG) and Vortical Buffer Reduces non-fire elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-fire allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 fire skill DMG or 20,000,000 fire C.A. DMG) requiring Water and Fire to break the shields.
Wilnas’s Dragon Energy ATK is boosted based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Vivid Fire / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Vermillion Claw, Emerald Beak / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) increases the boss’s ATK by 30% per level (180% max). Ewiyar’s Dragon Energy Hit count of attacks is boosted based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Exhaustive Collapse / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Vermillion Claw, Emerald Beak / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) boosts hit counts by 2 per level (12 max). Together, this can result in a quite hard hitting phase. But at the same time it is generally one of the less annoying dragon energy stacks to deal with if you can handle the incoming damage.
The two unique omens for this phase are Wilnas’s Vivid Fire and Ewiyar’s Exhaustive Collapse.
Vivid Fire is triggered by 50m CA damage. It is canceled with 36 hits. The difficulty of this varies by setup. Some can cancel it with ease. Others may need to use multi hit skills to get close. In general, setups with lots of bonus damage, TA buffs, or auto activating skill damage will have the easiest time with it.
Exhaustive Collapse is triggered by 50m skill damage. The cancel requirement is 5 CAs. Since a basic full chain is only four CAs, you will need one source of CA reactivation or 200 bar double CA. If your setup can’t perform it, your only choice is to guard and accept the dragon energy level increase. If you do have enough CAs for this, make sure to have a full chain ready in case you run into it.
Azure & Gold
The Azure & Gold phase features Wamdus and Galleon.
The phase’s shields are Torrential Buffer Reduces non-earth elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-earth allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 earth skill DMG or 20,000,000 earth C.A. DMG) and Precipitous Buffer Reduces non-wind elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-wind allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 wind skill DMG or 20,000,000 wind C.A. DMG) which mean its Earth and Wind’s time to break them.
Wamdus’s Dragon Energy DMG taken is cut and reflected based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Fatal Attractor / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Azure Eddy, Gold Rockfall / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) cuts and relects incoming damage by 1k 6 times per level (6k 6 times max). Galleon’s Dragon Energy DEF is boosted based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Universal Paroxysm / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for Azure Eddy, Gold Rockfall / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) increases defense by 30% per level (180% max). This phase can prove annoying for many setups due to the damage of the reflect being pretty significant especially for high hit count setups. The defense also is an annoying one for weaker setups as it makes it harder to cancel the damage omens.
The two unique omens for this phase are Wamdus’s Fatal Attractor and Gallleon’s Universal Paroxysm.
Fatal Attractor is triggered by 50m CA damage. It is canceled with 4 TAs. This one is very much setup dependant. Many will just not have the TA available to cancel this as it requires either everyone to TA or for multi strike effects on a character who will actually TA. If you lack the TA, just guard it. Characters like Ilsa (Yukata) who have GTA and can attack multiple times in a turn make it super easy to cancel. Otherwise grids that have high TA built in along with buffs that reach 100% on all characters makes it very straightforward to cancel.
Universal Paroxysm is triggered by 50m skill damage. The cancel requirement is a fated chain. Generally, this is a very simple to do. Just make sure to not use your Fated Chain recklessly and you’ll be fine. The only case it can be a problem is with Wind setups that use Seofon as his passive to cancel any cancellable omen on Fated Chain is used to deal with the Jinx’s. If things happen to line up badly where you won’t be able to get the Fated Chain back for the Jinx, guard this omen.
White & Black
And lastly, in terms of coverage and not neccsarily in order, is the phase against Lu Woh and Fediel.
This phase has the Reverent Buffer Reduces non-dark elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-dark allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 dark skill DMG or 20,000,000 dark C.A. DMG) and the Umbral Buffer Reduces non-light elemental DMG taken by 30% / Resistance to debuffs from non-light allies is boosted / Removes 1 debuff at end of turn (Can only be removed by dealing either 20,000,000 light skill DMG or 20,000,000 light C.A. DMG) requiring Light and Dark to break the shields.
Lu Woh’s Dragon Energy Has a chance to attack twice each turn based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Myribolt Refraction / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for White Flare, Black Hex / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) adds a chance to attack twice each turn. Fediel’s Dragon Energy Has a chance to apply various debuffs to allies upon normal attacks based on lvl (Can’t be removed / Max: 6 / Lvl has a chance to rise by 1 at end of each turn / Lvl lowers by 3 upon canceling the omen for Necrotic Storm / Lvl lowers by 1 upon canceling the omen for White Flare, Black Hex / Lvl has a chance to lower by 1 upon canceling the omen for Atrox Clamor) is the real annoyance of this phase as adds a chance to apply debuffs on normal attacks. All of them are generally annoying with Zombified typically being the worst. The easy of this phase is directly related to how easily you can deal with the debuffs. Any setup that is immune to debuffs or clears them with ease will be able to easily move through this phase. Those that don’t will have trouble doing much. Its helpful to bring clarity to clear any debuff you can’t handle. Additionally, ask the team for clarity if you need it.
The two unique omens for this phase are Lu Woh’s Myribolt Refraction and Fediel’s Necrotic Storm.
Myribolt Refraction is triggered by 50m CA damage. It is canceled with 5 skills. This is a very straightforward cancel. The only suggestion for this is to limit general skill presses during the phase so you can easily cancel it when it occurs.
Necrotic Storm is triggered by 50m skill damage. The cancel requirement is 10 debuffs. This one can be quite difficult to handle depending on your setup. Since this one is particularly dependant on your characters, it will be better covered in the setup specific write ups. Just keep mind to have skills that can deal enough debuffs and save those skills for this omen like for example if you need to press skills for the prior omens.
40-16%
Iridis Liberatio
Entering 40%, you will be greeted immediately with the omen Iridis Liberatio. This omen can not be cancelled and will need to be tanked. While the base damage is managable, it deals supplemental damage based on your Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) and that damage that can easily wipe out your frontline even when guarded even with lower stacks. In addition, it will also deal 3k plain damage based on your Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) level. Crossing this will clear Unchallenged (40%) HP won’t lower below 40% (Can’t be removed) and Hexa gains Unchallenged (15%) HP won’t lower below 15% (Can’t be removed) in its place.
Additionally after crossing it, the boss gain the following buffs based on Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) level.
- Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) : Gain DMG Cut Nullified Nullifies ‘all elemental DMG cut’ (Can’t be removed)
- Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) : Gain Godsight Attacks and debuffs don’t miss (Regardless of debuffs or buffs like Blind, hit to accuracy, Mirror Image, debuff resistance, and debuff immunity / Can’t be removed)
- Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) : Gain Debuff Damping Debuff durations are cut by 1 turn (Debuffs with an initial duration of 1 turn won’t be applied at all) (Can’t be removed)
- Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) : Gain Ignore DEF Boost DMG dealt ignores boosts to the target’s DEF (Can’t be removed)
- Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) : Gain Double Strike Attacks twice each turn (Can’t be removed)
To reiterate before, you will want your Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) level as low as possible. The ignore defense buff at 13 in particular will be lethal to many setups limiting how much you can move past this point.
On top of this, for every Jinx omen not cancelled, the boss will gain additional buffs. The first of these will grant all the Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) buffs listed above to even a single failure will prevent you from progressing further and it gets worse with more failures.
As for how to deal with it, there are a few major strategies. In all cases, you will still take the plain damage so make sure to heal and use pots if needed.
The first is using a summon to make it across. This can either be your own or crossing a summon. Generally, its better to rely on your own unless you can determine beforehand someone will use a summon you can cross and that people will let you cross it.
Godsworn Alexiel is generally the strongest summon for crossing 40% thanks to its 100% damage cut as well as its very low 3T initial cooldown. It can also be crossed so another players can use it as well. The main drawback is the summon must be MLB to be used.
Satoru Gojo is a more freely accessable summon for those playing long enough thanks to it being from a collab. Gojo reduces incoming elemental damage to 0. He has two main drawbacks to being used. The first is his initial cooldown takes a very long 12 turns. This may be fine for slow beginner rooms, but in most rooms now a days its way too long to be off cooldown before 40. The other is it kills all field affects so if using a field like with Fediel, he can not be used.
The last option for summon are ones that provide shield to team like Grimnir and Zeus. An interesting combination of mechanics is that supplmental damage effects don’t apply to shields. So if you use a large shield and guard, you can easily absord the the base damage instance of the omen with the shield and take none of the supplmental damage easily surviving.
There are also some character options for crossing. Rei with her skill 3 Cold Stare Take control of all foes, inflicting Cold Stare 1 (Accuracy: g, 1T) on all foes. and Percival (Grand) with his skill 2 Regieren Inflict Grovel 1 (Accuracy: g, 1T) and Petrified 3 (Accuracy: 200%, 3T) on a foe. apply a debuff which reduce incoming damage to 0. You can also use a sub all character like Vira (Grand) or Uruki to tank the trigger. They will die so you’ll need a swap in to replace them.
On the topic of Rei and Percival needing a debuff to cross 40%, the following is very important and do not forget it.
DO NOT CROSS IRIDIS LIBERATIO UNTIL ALL PLAYERS ARE READY. MARK THAT YOU ARE READY WITH AN OK STICKER.
Once any player in the raid moves past 40%, it will move to the next phase of the fight. This includes gaining a very high debuff resistance. This will cause the debuff’s of Percy and Rei to miss. It is very likely Fire and Dark players will be running those two so it will prevent them from crossing if they use their debuffs when Pearls are up. If someone happens to smack into Pearls early, hold your debuff until three Pearls are removed. This will remove Auroral Curtain and its the debuff resistance allowing you to cross.
Once all players have OKed, you can proceed past the trigger and move to the next omen.
Sky Dragons’ Trial
After making it past the 40% omen, it will then gain a lot of buffs as well as the major omen Sky Dragons’ Trial. To cancel this, you will have to perform 18 CAs or TAs in 6 turns. This ties into the main buff of this section Sky Dragons’ Trial DMG taken is capped / Lowers all allies’ HP and applies random debuffs at end of turn / Upon this trial ending: Replaces all Origination’s Crucible lvls with Origination’s Halo lvls (Can’t be removed) . This is effectively the 6 turn timer as once it runs out its over. It will cap incoming damage, apply two random debuffs a turn, and lowers HP each turn.
The boss also gains the 6 pearls: Vermillion Pearl Fire ATK is boosted / Deals bonus fire DMG upon normal attacks (Can only be removed by a fire party overcoming the Sky Dragons’ Trial / Must have dealt at least 18 triple attacks or 18 charge attacks to remove) , Azure Pearl Water ATK is boosted / Deals bonus water DMG upon normal attacks (Can only be removed by a Water party overcoming the Sky Dragons’ Trial / Must have dealt at least 18 triple attacks or 18 charge attacks to remove) , Emerald Pearl Wind ATK is boosted / Deals bonus wind DMG upon normal attacks (Can only be removed by a wind party overcoming the Sky Dragons’ Trial / Must have dealt at least 18 triple attacks or 18 charge attacks to remove) , Gold Pearl Earth ATK is boosted / Deals bonus earth DMG upon normal attacks (Can only be removed by an earth party overcoming the Sky Dragons’ Trial / Must have dealt at least 18 triple attacks or 18 charge attacks to remove) , White Pearl Light ATK is boosted / Deals bonus light DMG upon normal attacks (Can only be removed by a light party overcoming the Sky Dragons’ Trial / Must have dealt at least 18 triple attacks or 18 charge attacks to remove) , Black Pearl Dark ATK is boosted / Deals bonus dark DMG upon normal attacks (Can only be removed by a dark party overcoming the Sky Dragons’ Trial / Must have dealt at least 18 triple attacks or 18 charge attacks to remove) . Each one will boost the ATK of the associated element as well as grant bonus damage of said element. Pearls have indefinite duration and will only be removed by cancelling the Sky Dragons’ Trial for the element of the Pearl. Hexa additionally gains two other buffs that are removed based on the number of Pearls cleared. Auroral Curtain DEF and debuff resistance are boosted (Can only be removed by removing 3 Pearls) increases both Hexa’s defense and debuff resistance and requires 3 pearls to be removed to clear the buff. Auroral Calamity ATK is boosted / DMG taken is capped based on number of Pearls (Can only be removed by removing all Pearls) provides an ATK boost while also capping incoming damage based on pearls remaining. This one will need all pearls removed to go away. So it is very very very very important for all players to cancel the Sky Dragons’ Trial omen otherwise the raid effectively be over.
As for cancelling the omen itself, as stated before, you will need to perform 18 CAs or TAs in 6 turns or an average of 3 per turn. It needs to be 18 of one or the other and can’t mix. Which one you go for depends on your setup and what is easier to cancel. For example, any setup that has GTA characters or easily hits 100% TA on multiple characters will find the TA omen very easy to clear. Yamato’s skill
Level 30:
Omen cancel reduction increases to 30% of the maximum value.
is great for this because it will drop the requirement by 6 for a total of 12 CAs/TAs.
There are two main warnings for this section. The first is any instant omen cancelling skills like Seofon’s level 150 passive omen cancel from fated chains, Yamato’s Seasplitter
3-hit Elemental damage to a foe (4000% total / Damage cap: ~6,000,000 total (1st hit: ~1,500,000
2nd hit: ~2,000,000
3rd hit: ~2,500,000)).
Cancel all cancelable Omens.
(Can only be used when Yashiori (Multiplier: Perpetuity) lvl is 8 or higher and a cancelable Omen is active. Can’t be recast.)
, or Yuni’s skill 3 Vis Voluntatis
Cancel all cancelable Omens.Clear all foes’ charge diamonds.(Uses 10 Precious Wish.)
are major problems. While they will cancel the Trial, it won’t clear the pearl. So do not use any of those skills as it will kill the run The other is skills that forward turns like Caim’s Secret Hands
Skill effect changes based on the card selected.
(Can only be used after The Fool Upright activates.)
=> Delay Act or Rei’s Ama no Sakate
Progress battle turn by 5 at end of turn.
(Activates only when caster is a main ally. Can’t recast.)
will reduce the time available for the trial and will make it difficult or impossible to cancel. So avoid using turn skip skills as well.
Main
After the first two omens, 40-16% is mostly a DPS phase as the only omens are the full diamond ones. Depending on your success in the earlier sections while determine the ease here. If you find yourself in a bad way or lack stronger characters, its okay to hang here and wait for people in a better position to handle things. The main thing you should do is make sure any important skills you need for the final phase and make sure you have a fated chain as that will be needed immediately in the next section.
To start, after completeing the Trial, all your Origination’s Crucible Specs of an upcoming special action are boosted (Can’t be removed / Max: 20 / Lvl rises upon phase changes based on Dragon Energy lvls) levels will become Origination’s Halo Based on lvl: Triple attack rate is boosted / DMG dealt is supplemented / Removes buffs upon normal attacks (Can’t be removed) levels. These increase TA by 10% (200% max) and add 500 (10k max) supp per level. This alone results in the phase hitting a lot harder than the prior ones. So as mentioned, if you are running a weaker setup feel free to wait it out.
The other mechanics introduced here are Haloed Catalysis Lvl rises by 1 when an ally uses a skill / When an ally uses a skill at lvl 5: Reset lvl / Plain DMG to all allies / Skill Sealed effect (Consumes 1 Origination’s Halo lvl) (Can’t be removed / Max: 5) levels. It raises by 1 per skill use. When using a skill at Haloed Catalysis Lvl rises by 1 when an ally uses a skill / When an ally uses a skill at lvl 5: Reset lvl / Plain DMG to all allies / Skill Sealed effect (Consumes 1 Origination’s Halo lvl) (Can’t be removed / Max: 5) aka every six skill presses, you will take 20k plain damage and be inflicted with one turn Skill Sealed Can’t use skills . Keep track of your button presses so you aren’t caught off guard. You can tactically trip the plain damage on a safe turn if you are close to the limit and think you’ll need more presses than available for a potential omen.
The phase cycles between three omens. One requires 40 hits to cancel, one requires 25m damage, and the last and generally most annoying needs 3 dispels to cancel. The first two are straightforward. The last is the most difficult as many setups will lack the dispels for it. The most common approach for many is Beelzebub since that should have 3 dispels by this point on call. If you get lucky or plan your summon layout for a guarentee, Yatima can call bubs for a second round of dispels. Outside that, it really depends on your characters.
The three omens can generally be guarded though they do have some annoying debuffs associated with them. However, they can inhibit you in the last section if you aren’t careful. Each omen will reduce your fated chain meter by 30%. If you fail an omen right before 15%, you might not have the fated chain ready for the final phase.
15%-0%
The final phase against Hexa is a raid wide damage check. There will be 7 omens in a row. They are as follows.
- Ruptus Ardor (Fated Chain)
- Ruptus Torrens (20M C.A. damage)
- Rupta Tellus (20M Skill damage)
- Rupta Tempestas (10 debuffs)
- Ruptus Splendor (2M damage 10 times)
- Ruptus Tenebra (Fated Chain)
- Rationale Exitium
Rationale Exitium is a party wipe meaning you have until then to do as much damage as possible.
The opener, Ruptus Ardor, will clear Unchallenged (15%) HP won’t lower below 15% (Can’t be removed) whether you cancel it or not.
At this point, you will generally want to cancel each omen. While its possible to tank an omen, they all inflict pretty major debuffs that will likely prevent you easily clearing the following ones. If at any point you think you will be unable to proceed further, prep as much of a burst as you can and go nuclear.
An important thing to keep in mind for this phase is Hexa gains a 25% resistance to all elements. So you may find it harder to cancel some things like 20m CA damage that would have been easy before.
The other important thing to keep in mind is Haloed Catalysis Lvl rises by 1 when an ally uses a skill / When an ally uses a skill at lvl 5: Reset lvl / Plain DMG to all allies / Skill Sealed effect (Consumes 1 Origination’s Halo lvl) (Can’t be removed / Max: 5) still is effect here. This may result in certain sections being hard to cancel if you aren’t properly prepared. In particular, 20m skill damage is typically diffcult to do without several skill press. You can use this tactically by forcing plain the damage + skill sealed to occur the turn before so you have 6 skills to play with. So try to take advantage of this when you can.
Ruptus Splendor is the last omen of any diffculty to cancel so as long as you can safely cancel it, begin using all your burst energy here. While you want to do as much damage at every omen possible, the next remaining cancel is basically free and opens up a lot of skill/summon use.
Summons
Triple Zero – An incredibly strong summon that greatly affects setups if you have it or don’t. At the most basic, the 10% damage amplified when ramped it provides is invaluable for general damage output and making 2m damage instances easier. The first time its called, it deals 5 hits and gives MC instant charge and CA reactivation. At the most basic, this allows for 2 CAs from MC for two 2m damage instances. With enough cap up and Bahamut, each of those 5 hits can deal 2m damage. Most commonly, this will be used to cancel the first Jinx omen. After the first call it changes to Lucilius’s version of the summon with a different call. The first time this call is used, it will cancel any cancelable omen. This is often used to cancel the 15 2m hit omen or saved for the final 15%. Where ever its used, having that ability can open up a ton of teams that might not be able to clear neccesary omens without it.
Beelzebub – Easy source of two 2m damage instances with base call and plain damage. Has 3 dispels which makes it the easiest way to cancel the 3 dispel omen.
Bahamut – Sub aura summon damage for more damage output. Particularly is great with Triple Zero for making it easy to reach 2m per hit of the call. Call itself is an easy 2m instance and helps bring back your other summons off cooldown with its 1 turn CD reduction.
Lucifer – The lord of sustain. 10-30% healing cap as sub aura. Alternatively, it can be used as main or support summon where it provides 50% max HP instead. The call provides a lot of healing for the party and can be crossed to provide more healing for others. The call also deals a lot of damage.
Qilin – One time teamwide skill reset. Very helpful for emergency situations and dealing with the last 15%. While not required for most setups, it is often advised to bring it in case you run into trouble or a skill isn’t back when you need it.
Grand Order – 10% seraphic amp sub aura. Hard to go wrong with it.
Yatima – Can call 2 summons in a turn to help either with damage output or to provide two 2m damage instances. Call itself provides a 1 turn skill cooldown which can be helpful as well as randomly calling two non one time use summons. With a summon layout set with one time layouts, this can be used to reliably call Bubs for another round of 3 dispels.
Godsworn Alexiel – 100% damage cut at FLB. BIS summon for crossing 40%.
Satoru Gojo – Reducing incoming elemental damage to 0 and cancels field effects. More F2P option for crossing 40% but at the cost of a hefty 12 turn cooldown. Does not work for faster rooms as a result. Additionally, does not work for any setups that make use of field effects like Dark setups that use Fediel
Grimnir and Zeus – Both provide a large shield to team. Can be used to cross 40% with guarding.
