Earth UnF 2024 Preparation Guide

Next Unite and Fight is set for early September and will be Earth advantage. Let’s go over once again what you should work on in the meantime.

Yggdrasil

To start, let us cover the weapons needed for Yggdrasil grids.

General

Rank 200

Premium

Gold Moon

First off, let’s cover the available damage mods for Earth.

Before rank 200, your best option will be Yggdrasil Crystal Blade Arbos. It is Earth’s Omega Exalto weapon providing 20% boost to Omega weapon skills per copy. It also comes with Big ATK and Vivifaction which provides 2% EX ATK and 1% damage cap per weapon with a Lifetree weapon skill. For Caim grids, you will be limited to one per grid obviously. For others, you can typically run three of them especially for the cap up. Five of them will be required for Extremity key burst setups as well if they present themselves.

Beyond that, you will want other weapons to fill out your grid for Caim setups. Ancient Perseus provides a lot of mod thanks to its two Omega ATK ups as well as providing some HP. Nibelung Horn brings some stamina mod. The crit component will generally be ignored. Yggdrasil Crystal Blade Omega and Solomon’s Axe are dated ATK mods but both solid options. The later particularly is nice if you need to play off Axe Voltage.

With Rank 200, the best mod slot becomes available. Fang of the Dragonslayer and its upgraded version Fang of the Dragonslayer Mk II are excellent weapons thanks to the mix of Big Omega and Small Normal ATK as well as boosts from the ATK awakening. Each one packs so much value that non Caim burst grids can run up to four for all the mod they offer. Getting at least 3 ATKs will cover the majority of cases with 4 for Kaguya x Kaguya OTK or Nekomancer. I reccomend at the very least getting one MKI and one MKII for Caim grids as they are considered different weapons so they can be run together. You can also look into 1-2 SPC copies for additional cap up. If you have Hrunting this is a lot more important to get.

In addition to Crystal Blade Arbos and Sieg daggers, being cap up sources, there are a few other solid options for cap up. The most modern of these are the Celestial weapons. The main ones for Earth GW will be Gateway-Star Sword, Altruism-Soul Staff, and Covenant-Ruin Fist. The Sword and Fist are the main general purpose options with the former pairing well with Olivia or Hrunting and the latter for Lucha setups. Staff is used for Nekomancer setups since most if not all characters for that will be staff.

Now for the generally less used options. Collapse of The Tower is a solid mix of mods and provides 5% cap up. Baihu Claw Malus provides 10% cap up and is a MH option for Lucha setups. Cosmic Scythe is a common cap up source for the older axe grids thanks to pairing well with the existing axes. For anyone with a modern grid, its the most outdated of these cap up sources. Well minus one I won’t even bother mentioning.

Onto supplmental damage. Generally if you have to prioritze one form of cap break for Earth, aim for raw cap up over supplmental. That said supplmental sources are still good. Your main source will be Ished as it is Earth’s 30k stam supp weapon and also has skill cap. Another option that can used along with it is Solomon’s Axe Militis. Generally, this one does not see much use anymore but would still good to have around especially with its potential FLB.

The premium option Pillardriver provides 7% cap up and 50k supp making it the best general cap break option. Ideally you will want at least one. Not only for the weapon itself but also because it comes with Uriel. Uriel provides 20% boost to Omega and Optimus weapon skills making any grid stronger with him slotted. Non Caim setups would want two copies of the weapon to fully max the supplemental damage.

For normal cap up, your main weapons will be the two main World Weapons Worldscathing Leon and Worldvexing Angelos as they provide 10% normal cap and 8% normal attack amp. Their main restriction is needing characters to fall under their restrictions. Other forms of normal cap break are SPC Fang of the Dragonslayer Mk IIs or ATK Claw of the Dragonslayer Mk IIs. Both are strong options. The former is stronger generally with the latter being stronger if you can meet its 280% weapon boost requirement.

For skill cap up, the main weapon to consider is Worldbreaking Tauros. It provides 20% skill cap and 10% skill amp to melee and harp allies. This is particularly nice for Monk FA setups with both MC and Uriel dealing lots of skill damage. The other main one is Daggerpeak which provides up to 25% skill cap up which can be great for inching out damage on OTK setups. Its also a strong mainhand for CA OTK dealing a 5 hit skill nuke and inflicting 15% Earth DEF down.

Next up will be the CA cap up sources. Galleon’s Jaw is a typical slot thanks to it providing 400k CA supp per weapon. Multiple copies are used for CA based OTK. Yggdrasil Bark Bracer Arbos is a boostable Big Glory source which can free up Opus for a key other than Glorification.

One of the big issues Earth CA setups can run into is running to the hard cap especially with Eahta. This is best remedied with the Rank 200 weapon Sette di Spade as it provides a way to increase Special CA cap as well as having strong CA damage and CA cap up to make it easier to hit hard cap in the first place. Since it is an off element Revans weapon, the awakenings don’t take affect and you are free to use any.

Next up let’s cover some defensive weapons for FA. For increased HP, your standard two are Ancient Perseus and Nibelung Klinge. You can also run a Revans weapon, ideally a Claw of the Dragonslayer in non Hrunting setups, for the powerful DEF awakening. The new M3 weapon Yggdrasil Dewdrop Harp Arbos provides a strong mix of tools via Medium Garrison, Medium TA, and Medium Healing Cap that will be a big help against NM200. Last up are the Draconic weapon Draconic Bow and its upgrade Bounty of Gracious Earth pairing Big Majesty with 30% water DMG reduction. Without the upgrade, it competes with Opus so it is best to avoid using unless the boss really hits hard.

When it comes to Ultimas, Earth has the potential to use a lot of them depending on the situation. Nekomancer setups for example want to run Ultima Staff. Burst setups can run Ultima Blade or Ultima Sword depending on character selection. FA would probably use Ultima Claw or staff again.

Last up I’ll cover some weapons that exist as strong MHs. First up, Tatjenen is a solid MH for manadiver setups due to its CA providing teamwide 35/35 DATA and 10% echoes. Its weapon skills are both enmity focused making it stronger for extended fights. Earth’s exo weapon Exo Kshathra is also a great MH. Its ATK awakening provides adds 10% NA cap and 10% cap up to team. It also provides 20% bonus damage to MC when they aren’t debuffed which makes is pretty good for OTK or Spartan bursts.

The last mainhand to mention is the 150 GM weapon Hrunting. Yes, Omega can use it. The weapon’s main feature is that it provides MC with pernament double strike. The other main feature is whenever a teammate takes DoT damage, they will gain a 1 time 30% bonus damage. Pair this with Fang of the Dragonslayer’s damage loss per turn and you’ll get the echo every turn for the entire team. Between these two, Hrunting offers a massive boost to party damage output especially for setups that take multiple turns. Hrunting’s last surprise is that It’s Glorybringer awakening skill is a one turn 50% assassin which in combination with the perma double strike cements Hrunting MC’s place as Earth’s best attacker.

Titan

Titan grids will likely see major changes before UnF with the probable release of its Exalto weapon. So keep in mind that, unless they make it really bad, when it drops it will be instantly utilized in grids with three usually being ideal.

General

Gold Moon

Presently, two main gacha weapons make up the core of Titan grids.

The first is Pillardriver. Being Earth’s 50k supp and 7% cap up weapon, two will be present in most grids as it is an excellent source of cap break. With Exalto’s release, this will not change.

Unlike that, Earth’s resonator weapon Landslide Scepter is more vulnerable. It provides 40% EX ATK, 25% DEF up, and 7% special cap up per copy when 3 of the same weapon are equipped. Right now, those three weapons are typically Landslide Sceptors themselves though there are some cases Fangs are used instead. Once Exalto releases however, it is likely none will be used unless you get three Exaltos. Since Resonators are typically the slots swapped out for Exaltos, even wanting to slot one Exalto will break the Landslide Sceptor requirement. The other main option is replacing the damage mod slots but Earth consistents mostly of independent attackers with few if any teamwide buffs so replacing your damage mods is typically a bad idea. Likewise, this will also make using multiple Landslides difficult even in the case you are running three Exaltos.

On the topic of damage mods, there are a few main ones to consider. Overall the strongest is Fang of the Dragonslayer Mk II thanks to the mix of Big Omega and Small Normal ATK as well as boosts from the ATK awakening. I reccomend getting up to four as they can be slotted even in primal typically for cases like OTK, NM90, or Nekomancer bursts. At minimum get at least least one MKII since it will be your best single mod slot and is additionally really strong in Hrunting setups. Getting at least one SPC cap up dagger would also be good as another cap up and normal cap up source.

The other main two are Mirror-Blade Shard and Ichigo Hitofuri. MBS has a very powerful ATK awakening that makes it both a cap up source and a very large source of primal mod. It also has some HP to it making a good slot for FA. Ichigo is also a very strong primal mod thanks to its mix of Massive ATK and Medium Stamina. It also has MA awakening for it providing 20/10 DATA. This will be excellent for any low button setups like OTK or NM95 to help hit 100% TA on all allies. All three of these weapons have their own uses so access to all is valuable. But if you don’t have MBS it will be the least impactful of the three as you can easily sub it for another Fang.

For normal cap up, your other main weapons outside a SPC Fang will be the two main World Weapons Worldscathing Leon and Worldvexing Angelos as they provide 10% normal cap and 8% normal attack amp. Their main restriction is needing characters to fall under their restrictions.

When it comes to Celestials, the main ones for Earth GW will be Gateway-Star Sword, Altruism-Soul Staff, and Covenant-Ruin Fist. The Sword and Fist are the main general purpose with the former pairing well with Olivia and Hrunting and the latter for Lucha setups. Staff is used for Nekomancer setups since most if not all characters for that will be staff.

For skill focused FA teams, your main weapon to consider is Earth’s boostable skill cap and supp weapon World Ender. You will want two of them to max out the skill supp. World Ender can also be useful for some OTKs. Alternatively for Monk FA, you can use Worldbreaking Tauros. It provides 20% skill cap and 10% skill amp to melee and harp allies.

The last weapon to mention is the 150 GM weapon Hrunting.

Who to Farm?

Caim

Caim is typically called Earth’s 11 weapon slot thanks to his strong backline passive. It provides 20% perp ATK, 50% DEF, and 10% cap up to allies when all weapons are different. He forms an important pillar of farmable Earth grids so you will want him if you don’t have him.

It is also a strong reccomendation to FLB him. As a backline slot, it upgrades his passive further adding 20k supp to it. But the main draw is his gained frontline usage.

His new swap in grants his Suits stacks to all allies which provide a wide variety of buffs including perp ATK, DEF, and 20% echoes. His skill 4 which is strongly reccomended for this UnF. It has a few options of what it grants but the noteworthy for UnF is a one turn assassin. His existing skills of being able to copy any skill and allowing skills to be recast are both very strong and scale well with how strong the skills are.

His big drawback as frontline unit is that setups with him require set up. Not only does he need to be swapped in, his skill 1 Double Deal All Earth allies gain Double Deal (1 times).
(Can’t recast.)
which allows for one skill of each ally to be recast has a 3 turn initial cooldown. This generally though not completely restricts him to longer bursts like NM200 but for those he will be excellent.

Lobelia

Lobelia’s usage for UnF will be restricted to a backline unit. In order for him to be useful, you will need to at least max his domains. With maxed domains, whenever an ally uses a skill, they gain 3% (15% max) stackable ATK, 3% (15% max) stackable DEF, and 6% (30% max) stackable skill cap up. This is a very solid boost to any setup with button presses. FLB adds 10k (50k max) stackable skill supp which is nice if you can afford it but not major.

Eahta

Eahta is a top tier CA focused damage dealer. As a result, he doesn’t have much use in UnF outside CA based OTKs. He is your stronger eternal option for those if you need to.

Despite that, if you want a safe and reliable clear for NM200 even if its really slow, him and Earth’s kengo team as a whole is a good option. At 150 he provides teamwide 100% debuff resistance and dispel cancel on turns with at least two CAs which is quite helpful for dealing with annoying gimmicks.

Threo

Threo is Earth’s other eternal and one who’s usage has wanned of and on in UnF since her transcendance. If you are to use her, you want her to at least 130 for her skill 3 Ground Zero Sacrifice 99% of caster’s current HP to deal plain damage to all foes (Damage cap: ~820,000).
Damage dealt is based on HP consumed.
Gain Shield (3000).
Level 95:
Also inflict Earth DEF Lowered (25%, Accuracy: ≥100%, 180s).
Damage cap increased to ~1,230,000.
Level 130:
Damage increased and damage cap increased to ~2,040,000.
When HP is below 25%: Also gain Tri-Slash (1T).
upgrade that adds triple strike when at low health. Threo can deal lots of damage in burst setups, but has two many annoying gimmicks that get in the way. For example, she has two forms that she swaps between on CA. The better of the two is not the one she starts in forcing her to have to CA to be useful. Last year she saw usage thanks to her strong 300k supp on the third hit of her autos for OTK and NM95. Since then, we’ve had stronger characters fill that same role of 0B attacker. So this year she is unlikely to see use except as a good replacement candidate.

This said, she still does deal a lot of sustained damage which makes her pretty great for FA. If the boss does AoE damage, she will suffer due to being an enmity attacker. But outside that she would be a very strong option for lots of damage.

What to Suptix?

Olivia

Olivia is currently the strongest character in Earth (minus MC) and will be used across UnF for both manual and Full Auto play.

One of her main sources of damage output is her passive skill. When she has at least 12 buffs, she will deal 2 hit flurry as well as 50k supp. The main drawback to this is it will typically lock you into using Chain of Temptation to easily reach the 12 buffs outside of FA.

The other big feature for GW is her skill 1 Darker than Dusk . As seen with her Grand version last GW, her Twilight Terror boss will stop enemy special attacks for two turns which will greatly improve survivability and can also make FA setups faster.

Sabrina

Sabrina is one of the top 0B attackers in Earth. She gains 100% TA and 20% echo before attacking if she’s at full HP and also deals a large single hit skill nuke after normal ATKs that inflicts 25% ATK and DEF down making for an easier time for anyone after her. The TA and echo only applies after hitting the attack button so she will not gain those for tag only setups which is important to keep in mind.

Arulumaya

Arulumaya is a hard content and FA character that will be excellent for NM200. Last year she dominated the fastest FAs and its unlikely this will be the same.

She packs some teamwide strong buffs including 100/50 DATA, 30% echoes, and 20% cap up as well as excellent defensive tools like veil and debuff duration cut. The most notable defensive buff is an 70% damage reduction to team when the enemy is at full diamonds.

Satyr

Satyr (Earth) is another excellent support character thanks to packing a lot of everything. Heals, dispels, debuff duration cut, tanking and strong stackable CA cap ups. Generally she works best in CA setups which are slow compared to others but she is still plenty usable without.

Diantha

Diantha is a noteworthy backline character due to her ability to provide 5% cap up to MC. This cap up does not stack with Caim. While she isn’t gonna be make or break, that extra cap up could still be useful for edging out a bit more damage.

Skull and Balurga

Skull and Balurga are on the dated side but packing a one turn assassin does make them at least a noteworthy considering if you need to expand your Earth burst options. They will be good for NM95 if you lack the stronger options and they are one of the best CA OTK characters.

Summons

As always, summons are always a great option. The usual suspects of the echo summon Mammoth, the 6 Dragon Optimus sub aura summon Galleon or the Optimus main summon Titan] are all great to pick up if needed.

What to Spark?

Uriel

Uriel is a high priority spark character for Earth thanks to his Primarch passive providing a 20% boost to Omega and Optimus skills.

Beyond that, he also is a strong buffer thanks to his skill 2 Earth Crash III providing 20% echoes, 30% charge bar, 10k water dmg cap per hit, 30% per ATK, 40% skill dmg, and 20% skill cap. He passive stacks also let him use a large two hit skill nuke after a normal attack. The stacks raise for every red skill pressed and the nuke requires 3. This isn’t useful for low button setups but outside that it is a very strong nuke available for use.

He also comes with Pillardriver. This packs 50k supp and 7% cap up and is a mainstay in Optimus and Omega grids.

Galleon

Galleon is a mix of a solid attacker and buffer. Her main gimmick is that she is unable to attack every other turn but gains a one hit assassin after doing so. This combined with some strong self buffs including 100% perp ATK and 100% cap making her attack turns hit pretty hard. Her targetable skill 1 Blessed Kiss Grant another Earth ally Landslide’s Blessing.
(When Landslide’s Blessing is already granted:
Restore 100% of target’s HP [Healing cap: 10,000] and remove all debuffs.)
provides 50% earth ATK and 20% bonus damage among others that is a solid boost for a single damage dealer setup like Viking or Hrunting setups.

Her weapon is Landslide Scepter which is a presently a mainstay on Titan grids and is also a solid option for non Caim Yggy grids.

Mahira

Mahira is a very outdated yet still solid buffer. She provides some ATK and DEF buffs, teamwide echoes, as well as DEF down so she could still be helpful for some.

I wouldn’t actually bother to spark her. But I thought she was worth mentioning still since she can provide some strong boosts for weaker grids or characters.

Alexiel

Don’t actually spark Alexiel. She’s only here to hope she gets an FLB that makes her great like Europa’s did.

Upcoming Changes

With Summer and the Summer stream coming up, it is safe to expect a bunch of new content coming up.

New Class

Since its been a while since the last Tier V class, it is likely we’ll see a new one soon. This would likely be the Tier V version of Luchador. It will likely be very good thanks to its access to tag team.

New Characters and Summons

There is also new Summer characters and Summons that will be released. We know for sure Raziel and Tefnut are coming. Beyond that there will be three more new summer banners and likely a new Grand in there as well. Particularly, the new Grand would like have Earth’s exalto weapon leading to big changes in Optimus grids.

Rise of the Beasts

Two more ROTB characters are still pending including Earth’s one. If she does release before UnF, she will at the very least offer 10% boost to Omega weapon skills which would be helpful for both those without Uriel or for reaching 280%.

EX+ HP Increase

Last big thing to note right now is since the last UnF cycle ended, it is typically the time they will increase the HP of Extreme+. Anticipate it will increase to at least 25M for next UnF.

    • For burst strats currently since exalto does not exist it is slightly better for now. all around, I’m not sure on that but it will likely shift again once primal exalto comes out.
