Wave 2 of the Omega Rebirth weapons recently released. With that, let’s discuss the changes they bring.
Dark
Like before, Dark GW is next so I will cover Dark weapons first.
The most important of these weapons is Celeste Grace Ater. Like with the prior release, it is the best weapon thanks to it having the Omega version of Exalto which provides a 20% to Celeste weapon skillsand Vivifivation which boosts attack and dmg cap based on the number of weapons that have at least one Mistfall skill on it.
Primary goal is to aim for 3-4 of these. For more advanced players, you would want to consider 280% for the keys from Dark Rapture Zero. Presently, you can’t single side get to 280%, but the Dark primarch is likely to release before UnF which will change things. That said, without Eresh, setups are generally locked to falsehood and with Eresh, the normal attack key won’t see use. So its unlikely to be a major factor this UnF but would be good to prepare anyways just in case.
The next weapon to cover is Celeste Saber Ater. The katana has Tempering which is boostable skill cap and skill supplemental damage. For boosted setups, this will perform better than the similar weapon Agonize. The main drawback to this weapon is its second skill being small crit. This is generally ignorable and not worth building a grid to reach 100% crit for it. You will want 2 of these to max out the skill cap and supp.
Similarly, the third weapon Celeste Dagger Ater also has a medium crit component. Like before, it is not worth building for crit specifically with it. The other two skills, medium healing cap and medium garrsion are great defensive tools and strong for HL content. 1 copy of this is generally gonna be all you want to slot, but keeping a second around just in case would not be bad.
Burst
For the standard Runeslayer/Onmyoji burst setup with these, you will typically have your five main Omega slots. You will want for sure 3 of them being Graces. The other two should ideally be two Forbidden Agastia Mk IIs, but can be more copies of Grace, Forbidden Agastias, or Celeste Zaghnal Omegas instead. Then you will want two supp weapons. Ideally Pain and Suffering even at 0*. If you are using the Forbidden Agastia’s run a pair of Ramsund Militis. If not you can go for Abydos instead. The last slot outside Opus and Ultima/Seraphic will ideally be a Covenant-Ruin Fist but any Celestial weapon will do.
As for Eresh, it is pretty much the same.
If you want to see an example burst for UnF using the new grid, quwatoro posted an example of NM150 with Onmyoji.
Kaguya x Kaguya OTK
Similarly, let’s talk about OTK for Kag x Kag setups. Particularly I wanted to cover these thanks to a debate over how many copies of Forbidden Agastia Mk II one wants. It looks like the sweet spot is 4 staves and 2 graces as shown below. While you don’t need this level of investment for EX+, it will used for NM90 and Celsestial weapon farming from that.
Full Auto
Now onto FA. Dark will lean Manadiver with its new skill supp weapons, it will perform even better than ever. Below are two examples of FA. One which leans more offensive and one which leans more defensive. The mainhand can be any Staff or Dagger really but your best options are Forbidden Agastia Mk II or Parazonium for offense or Celeste Dagger Ater for defense. The copies of Pain and Suffering can be replaced by a lot of other things depending on your team such a Celestial weapon or an Abyss Spine for HP.
Hard Content
As for HL like Dark Rapture Zero, below is an example of what one might run. This makes use of all the new M3 weapons including the Celeste Dagger Ater. The grid only reaches about 60% crit with double Celeste so the damage output can be a bit inconsistent but even with that it performs much better than the prior Celeste grids.
Fire
Now onto the fire weapons.
Like before, the exalto weapon Colossus Cane Ira is the highest priority. Unlike before, going for 5 copies is much more beneficial as fire can run Super Faa keys much easier and they are more beneficial.
Fire also has a skill supp weapon in Colossus Bomber Ira. This one is much more inline with normal Tempering weapons with its second skill being a small ATK up. As a result, it is generally a stronger weapon than Dark’s.
Colossus Buster Ira is the main disappointment of this set. While the Big healing cap, small HP, and small debuff resistance are a solid set of skills, the lack of either garrison or ATK mods generally makes this the weakest of this type of M3 weapon so far. A single one would still be pretty helpful for HL content particularly for the heal cap, but going more than 1 is very unlikely.
Burst
Colossus Cane Iras are excellent for burst setups in order to enable the new Super Faa keys. For bar farming in Proto Baha HL, Fire leans heavily into lucha play atm. So below is an example of a high end burst strat that makes use of five canes plus Michael backline to activate the Key.
For those without Super Faa access, Manadiver is still a great option. Below is an example of a cheaper Manadiver setup. Three canes are used for maxing the cap up. Exo Maitrah Karuna, Sol Remnant, the opus, and the Ultima/Seraphic are must slots. Two slots will be your supp weapons either Crimson Scales or Benbenets. The last slot can be either a strong mod like an Extinction Blade Mk II, a Celestial weapon, a SPC Exo Dagger, or another Benbenbet.
Full Auto
As for FA setups, the Colossus Bomber Ira’s become a lot more useful. The setup below leans pretty heavily on skill damage using two of them. If you use a setup that is heavily normal focused you can replace them with raw ATK mods or a second Crimson Scale. If you do have a second CS, you can replace a Cane or Bomber with it.
And to look for a more defensive setup, below is a Lumberjack example for NM200. Here we add in some more defense and HP with a Celestial weapon and Colossus Buster Ira. The dagger pairs great for Lucifer for massive heals.
Hard Content
And last up is an example for Dark Rapture Zero. Here there is a lot of emphasis on defense between the Gateway-Star Sword, Mortality Bows which can reach their 280% requirement with double Colo, and Lord of Flames. Colossus Buster Ira is also an excellent slot for this for the increased heals.
And for the video it comes from.
Closing Notes
Like with the prior round, Wave 2 of M3 has been a major step up from existing grids. I would say overall its been a weaker set, but the Exalto weapons alone make up for any shortcomings of the other weapons.
The last wave is Water and Earth set for June 6th. May my back be free of pain this next wave.
